Prescriptions

HealthWest Community Pharmacy looks after all prescription types including hospital prescriptions. All medicines are dispensed with expert advice and directions on when to take the medication, how often and for how long. Our team is on hand to answer any questions you may have about your prescription.

Repeat Prescriptions

We want to make healthcare as easy as possible for all of our patients and clients. This is why we offer a repeat prescription service. We will hold your prescription on file so you will never lose your script. We will also let you know when your GP needs to renew your prescription.

Call and Collect

If we keep your prescription on file then we offer a quick and efficient call and collect service. Simply let us know when you’ll be popping into the pharmacy and we will have your medication ready upon your arrival.

Emergency SupplY

In certain circumstances, and where appropriate, HealthWest can provide our patients with an emergency supply of medicines. We can dispense up to 5 days’ worth of medication while you are waiting for your prescription to be prepared by your GP.

Morning After Pill

Our pharmacists provide a confidential consultation for emergency hormonal contraception (EHC), also known as the morning after pill. We have a private consultation room so your consultation will be carried out in the strictest confidence. There is no need to book an appointment – simply call into one of our pharmacies as soon as possible.

Unwanted Medicines Disposal

HealthWest has the facilities to correctly dispose of any medicines that are no longer wanted or needed. We also dispose of expired medication safely.
